[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Vigil Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Vigil Loadouts in R6 Siege
The five best loadouts for operator Vigil in Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 9 Season 2.3

Vigil is a very effective roamer because he has the capability to mess up with the enemies’ efforts when it comes to gathering intel on him. With his special gadget, the ERC-7, he can erase himself from enemy cameras’ feeds, and that generally makes them uneasy, because they may have an idea where he is, but not his exact whereabouts.

That means that if he’s being hunted, Vigil can easily turn the situation around and be the one that’s on the hunt instead. To top it all off, Vigil also has a great selection of weapons and utilities that he can use to gain an advantage over his enemies during certain situations, and those weapons, attachments, and utility selections are what we’re going to be focusing on in this article.

5. BOSG.12.2 with Magnified A and Angled Grip + SMG-12 with Holo A, Vertical Grip, and Laser + Bulletproof Camera

Understandably, a lot of Vigil players, especially those who are relatively new to the game will be quite intimidated from using the BOSG.12.2. That’s because it’s a single shot weapon, and after just two shots, it needs to be reloaded. To make matters worse, its reload time is also quite long. The good thing is, one of the big changes to the game that came with Siege’s Year 9 is the rework to the angled grip, and that rework made it so that instead of an aim-down-sight speed bonus, it now provides a 20% reload speed boost.

The angled grip really makes the slow reload speed on the BOSG.12.2 a lot less detrimental, and in the hands of players who are experienced using the BOSG.12.2, especially with flick shots, this loadout setup will be really good. For his generic gadget, Vigil would be able to take advantage of another set of eyes that the bulletproof camera will provide for the whole defending team as he can use it to monitor an area where there are no CCTV cameras, and he can also use it to inform himself when to engage enemies in that particular area of the map.

Excels in:

  • The angled grip on the BOSG.12.2 will give Vigil a 20% reload speed bonus which is a great perk to have for this particular weapon since it has normally a slow reload time, and equipping an angled grip to it will at least improve it by quite a lot
  • The magnified A scope on Vigil’s BOSG.12.2 slug shotgun will provide him with a 2.5x zoom level as well as a sight that doesn’t take up much screen space, therefore, lessening the chances of the target now being seen well by the player
  • The BOSG.12.2 is a shotgun that shoots a single slug per shot so it’s capable of hitting targets at long range, as well as headshots of course. Its damage is also the second highest among all the guns in Siege.
  • The SMG-12 machine pistol is a great alternative weapon to switch to when Vigil’s BOSG.12.2 needs to be reloaded in the middle of a gunfight even though it’ll have a quicker reload speed due to the angled grip
  • The bulletproof camera as Vigil’s generic gadget will provide the defending team another way to gather intel on a particular area of the map. It’s also capable of shooting EMP bursts that disable enemy electronics

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - BOSG.12.2 with Magnified A and Angled Grip
  • Secondary weapon - SMG-12 with Holo A, Vertical Grip, and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera

4. K1A with Red Dot A, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + C75 with Suppressor and Laser + Bulletproof Camera

This is for Vigil players who prefer running with the K1A as their primary weapon and want to inflict the highest damage possible from it. With the extended barrel attached to the K1A, its range damage drop-off will be reduced, and its base damage will increase from 36 to 40. The damage increase from the extended barrel is through percentage, and since the K1A has a pretty high firepower in the first place, it only makes sense that the improvement is pretty big. With these perks from the extended barrel, Vigil will be dishing out high damage to enemies, regardless of the range.

Now the K1A’s recoil is manageable, but not without challenge. That’s why it’ll also be good to have the vertical grip attached to it. With the vertical grip, the weapon’s overall vertical recoil will be lowered, and that will make its gunshots more stable and easier to control, thus improving Vigil’s accuracy. On the other hand, the C75 Auto will be a great secondary weapon for Vigil to switch to when his K1A needs to be reloaded in the middle of combat, and that’s mainly because of its very manageable recoil despite its very fast rate of fire.

Excels in:

  • The extended barrel will maximize the damage from the K1A submachine gun as it will increase its base damage from 36 to 40 and reduce its range damage drop-off, making it a highly damaging weapon regardless of the range
  • The vertical grip attached to Vigil’s K1A submachine gun will lower the overall vertical recoil of the weapon by a lot, and that will result to a much more stable firing experience with the K1A
  • The red dot A 1.0x sight is great for weapons like the K1A with manageable recoil as it promotes pinpoint shooting through its center dot reticle as well as its wide reticle area
  • The C75 Auto has a very easy to control weapon kick despite it having an ultra-fast rate of fire, so it’s the secondary weapon of choice for many Vigil players. Its only weakness is its default iron sight that takes up a lot of screen space
  • The bulletproof camera as Vigil’s generic gadget will be another intel gathering device for the whole defending team, and it can also disable enemy electronics through its EMP bursts

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - K1A with Red Dot A, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon – C75 Auto with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera

3. K1A with Red Dot A, Flash Hider, and Horizontal Grip + C75 with Suppressor and Laser + Impact Grenade

This loadout setup provides a good balance between recoil control benefits and additional movement speed. With the flash hider on the K1A’s barrel, Vigil will be able to handle its vertical weapon kick a lot better. That’s because the flash hider barrel attachment specializes in lowering weapons’ overall vertical recoil. Another benefit from the flash hider that’s seldom talked about though is that, as its name implies, it will hide weapons’ muzzle flash, which could make it harder for enemies to notice where the user is shooting from.

On the other hand, the horizontal grip will provide Vigil with a 5% movement speed boost and that will be a huge help for him, considering that his main role is roaming. When you’re roaming, you’ll want as much speed as you can because that will help you escape from enemies when they begin to hunt you in numbers, and offensively, it can help you outmaneuver them and get to angles that’ll help you frag them more easily. The increase in movement speed will also make Vigil a bit harder to hit than normal which will increase his survivability when attackers are trying to roam clear.

Excels in:

  • The flash hider on Vigil’s K1A’s barrel will greatly lower the weapon’s overall vertical recoil which will allow him to handle the K1A’s weapon kick a lot easier which will translate to better accuracy
  • The horizontal grip on Vigil’s K1A submachine gun will provide a 5% movement speed boost which will help a lot in Vigil’s role as a roamer as it’ll allow him to move from one spot to another quicker than normal
  • The red dot A is great for pinpoint shooting because its center dot reticle doesn’t obstruct the view of the target at all. And with the red dot A, Vigil will receive a 5% aim-down-sight speed boost.
  • Having the C75 Auto as Vigil’s secondary weapon will provide him with another fully automatic weapon in his arsenal in the field, and it has a very easy to handle recoil despite its very fast rate of fire
  • The two impact grenades are integral to Vigil’s role as a roamer because the rotation holes that he can make from them will allow him to escape from enemies or flank them when the opportunity arises

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - K1A with Red Dot A, Flash Hider, and Horizontal Grip
  • Secondary weapon - C75 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade

2. BOSG.12.2 with Magnified A and Vertical Grip + C75 with Suppressor and Laser + Impact Grenade

This is the best loadout setup for Vigil players who prefer to have the BOSG.12.2 slug shotgun as their primary weapon. The BOSG.12.2 might be very risky to use because it’s a single shot weapon that has to be reloaded after only two shots, but when it does hit the target, it is very rewarding. That’s because it has the second highest damage among all the weapons in Siege, and at its most effective range, it’ll either kill the enemy it hits or at least put them in a down-but-not-out state. For that, to happen though, the user needs to have good accuracy, and that’s what the magnified A scope will bring.

The magnified A scope will provide Vigil with a 2.5x zoom which will let him see his targets really well even from long distance. It also has a really decent reticle featuring a center dot and a circle around it which doesn’t really obstruct the view of the target that much. Speaking of accuracy, another thing that’ll add to that is the vertical grip which will greatly lower the BOSG.12.2’s vertical recoil. With its recoil weakened, the chances of the player losing control and alignment of their aim will be much lessened.

Excels in:

  • The BOSG.12.2 slug shotgun being Vigil’s primary weapon will be a great for players who have great aim and flick shots as it can down an opponent with just one shot from its optimal range
  • The vertical grip on Vigil’s BOSG.12.2 will allow him to align the next shot after the first because it will greatly lower the weapon’s vertical recoil, ensuring that Vigil won’t lose sight of the target because of the BOSG.12.2’s strong weapon kick
  • The magnified A scope with its 2.5x zoom and small frame will provide Vigil with a clear view of his targets as the scope itself that doesn’t up much screen space and has a very good reticle
  • The C75 Auto as Vigil’s secondary weapon is an excellent machine pistol which has a very easy to handle recoil despite its very high rate of fire. It’ll also have a suppressor which Vigil can use for silently disabling enemy gadgets lying around
  • The impact grenades are very important for Vigil because they’ll allow him to create rotation holes on unreinforced walls or destroy soft hatches which will be integral in outmaneuvering his enemies while he’s roaming

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - BOSG.12.2 with Magnified A and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon – C75 Auto with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade

1. K1A with Red Dot A, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + SMG-12 with Holo A, Vertical Grip, and Laser + Impact Grenade

This loadout setup is the best for Vigil because it goes so well with his role as a roamer and will augment his stealth capabilities. With this setup, not only will enemies not be able to see Vigil on their cameras because of his ERC-7 special gadget, it will also be harder for them to notice where he’s shooting them from because the suppressor on the barrel of the K1A submachine gun will remove its shots’ directional threat indicator and muzzle flash. On top of that, it will also greatly muffle its gunshot sounds, so enemies will also find it hard to know where Vigil is shooting from through the game’s audio.

The vertical grip on the other hand will be what’s going to provide the added recoil control on the K1A. That’s important because the suppressor doesn’t provide more recoil control and having more of that will really help Vigil in controlling the K1A’s weapon kick, which translates to better accuracy. With the added firing stability from the vertical grip, Vigil will have great accuracy regardless of range, and that’s very important for his role because when it comes to roaming, enemy encounters can happen at any range and at any given moment.

Excels in:

  • The suppressor removing the K1A’s shots’ directional threat indicator and muzzle flash, as well as silencing its gunshots will make it even harder for attackers to find Vigil and make him a more effective roamer
  • The vertical grip on Vigil’s K1A’s submachine gun will help him a lot when it comes to handling the weapon’s vertical recoil which will be really good for accuracy, especially when targeting opponents at medium to long range
  • The red dot A 1.0x sight will provide Vigil with a 5% aim-down-sight speed boost as all 1.0x sights except the iron sights does that now, and it’s great for accuracy because of its center dot reticle
  • The SMG-12 machine pistol would be a great secondary weapon for Vigil to switch to when his K1A needs to be reloaded as it’s also fully automatic, rapid firing, and has really good firepower
  • The impact grenades are the best secondary gadget for Vigil, because it gives him so much more versatility. With them, he can create rotation holes for escaping and flanking, and he can even use them for countering shield operators like Osa especially.

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - K1A with Red Dot A, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - SMG-12 with Holo A, Vertical Grip, and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade
