[Top 10] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Recoil Guns
10. G36C
https://youtu.be/opao_O3ql9Y?t=21
The G36C is one of the most popular guns in Siege, as well as the other shooter games that Ubisoft has created like Ghost Recon: Wildlands and The Division. That's because it's a really powerful gun due to its high damage, good rate of fire, the attachments that are compatible with it, and of course, its low recoil. It's the reason why a lot of Ash and Iana players run those operators with the G36C instead of the alternatives. The G36C's recoil being very manageable allows Ash and Iana to hit their enemies with great accuracy, and that of course helps them win encounters.
But for a gun to be considered a great recoil gun, it should have other great qualities too other than its low recoil, and as mentioned above, the G36C has high damage, fast rate of fire, and is compatible with great attachments. The latter is one of the reasons why players go for the G36C when playing Iana and Ash, because the G36C is compatible with the scope 1.5x, and that's a great sight for the distance that those two operators usually operate in. The scope 1.5x on the G36C will provide a good enough zoom for them to see their enemies well while also not compromising a lot on peripheral view.
What Makes the G36C Great:
- It causes a good amount of damage per shot and combined with its very decent rate of fire, it can really make short work of enemies
- Its recoil is very manageable and that will allow the player to fire the weapon with great stability and accuracy
- The G36C is compatible with the scope 1.5x for both Ash and Iana and it's a great zoom level for the distance that those two operators excel in which is close to medium range
- Its low recoil means that players can opt out of recoil control providing barrel attachments and equip the extended barrel or suppressor that will provide better advantages to the player
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 38
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 780
- Magazine Size - 30
9. P90
https://youtu.be/XEDnQIKJ9k8?t=37
The P90 is one of the few guns in Siege that has a really fast rate of fire while also having a very manageable recoil. For that reason, a lot of Rook and Doc players find it hard to choose between the P90 and the MP5, because the recent rework on the weapons' recoil and attachments have really made the P90 a very viable weapon for those two operators. The P90's recoil is manageable enough that the player doesn't need to equip it with a recoil control providing barrel attachment, and they can instead opt for the suppressor or the extended barrel.
The P90's main drawback is its low damage, but since it can be equipped with the extended barrel, the player can enhance its damage. For players who would opt for the suppressor instead, the P90 would be a great weapon for spawn peeking because its shots would be silent, won't create a directional threat indicator, and of course, its recoil would be manageable, so the user will be able to hit enemies well, even at long-range. Another great thing about the P90 is its huge magazine capacity which is almost double the size of most guns' magazines.
What Makes the P90 Great:
- Its recoil is inherently low so the user can attach an extended barrel or the suppressor to its barrel instead of one that provides additional recoil control
- Its magazine size is huge, and that's great for encounters with multiple enemies, because it lessens the chances of the weapon needing to be reloaded in the middle of a gunfight
- It's compatible to the scope 1.5x which will provide a good amount of zoom while not sacrificing a lot of peripheral view
- Its recoil will remain stable despite its very fast rate of fire and that's because the weapon has small recoil diamonds
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 22
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 970
- Magazine Size - 50
8. 9mm C1
https://youtu.be/TDQMHeckpb8?t=51
One of the best things about playing Frost apart from her Welcome Mats is the player being able to use the 9mm C1 submachine gun. It's Frost's unique weapon and it inflicts a decent amount of damage per shot considering that it's a submachine gun, and is a fully automatic weapon. Its best quality is its recoil which is very low due to its relatively low rate of fire. Because of that, the player is free to disregard recoil control providing attachments, not just for its barrel, but for its grip as well. In fact, a lot of old school players will remember that the 9mm C1 didn't even have many attachments before.
And despite only being compatible with the angled grip, extended barrel, and the suppressor long ago, the 9mm C1 has always been a very stable gun, even during long sprays. So even now that recoil providing attachments have become available to it, players are advised to run it with the angled grip for quicker aim-down-sight speed, and the extended barrel or the suppressor. That's because even without the presence of any recoil control providing attachments, the player will find this gun very easy to control anyway.
What Makes the 9mm C1 Great:
- It's recoil is so low that players don't have to attach any recoil control providing attachments to it at all, and they can take advantage of other attachments instead
- It is now compatible with the scope 1.5x which is a really cool buff for the weapon because it will increase Frost's capabilities when it comes to medium to long-range shooting
- It has a higher than average magazine size and that really helps when engaging more than one enemies, because it will lessen the chance that the player has to reload in the middle of combat
- Its stock recoil is low enough that even when it comes to long sprays, or sprays that empties the magazine, the weapon will remain stable
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 36
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 575
- Magazine Size - 34
7. MP5
https://youtu.be/jiKifXWaBJM?t=78
The MP5, available to Rook, Melusi, and Doc, is one of the best guns when it comes to recoil because despite its fast rate of fire, the user will be able to control it well while firing, even during long bursts. And as mentioned before, a great recoil gun should also have qualities other than low recoil, and for the MP5, that would be the scopes that are available to it. Sadly, that doesn't apply to Melusi, but for Rook and Doc players, the MP5 is compatible with the scopes 2.0x and 1.5x. The scopes provide a great level of zoom to the user which will allow them to accurately hit enemies.
It's really rare for a defender to be able to use a scope 2.0x on a fully automatic weapon, so Rook is really lucky to have it on his MP5. As for Doc, the scope 1.5x is really good enough for the distance in which he usually engages enemies. Like the other guns featured above, the MP5's stock recoil is low enough that the user won't have to attach a recoil control providing attachment for its barrel, so the user can freely take advantage of the benefits that the extended barrel and the suppressor brings which are perfect for Rook and Doc's gameplay.
What Makes the MP5 Great:
- For Doc and Rook, the scopes 1.5x and 2.0x are available to the MP5, and the zoom level that those scopes provide are perfect for those two operators
- Its stock recoil is manageable enough that the player can just take advantage of the benefits that the extended barrel and the suppressor brings instead of recoil control providing attachments
- It has a very decent rate of fire which is fast enough to make quick work of enemies, and not fast enough to make its recoil hard to control
- It has a very decent damage and combined with the heavy armor that Rook, Doc, and Melusi has, it makes those operators tanks that can dish out a lot of firepower
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 27
- Mobility - 800
- Rate of Fire - 50
- Magazine Size - 30
6. ACS12
https://youtu.be/7K4uj8rrmaU?t=35
The ACS12 is one of the best weapons in the game overall, but since the main topic of this article is recoil, let's talk about that first. The ACS12's recoil is so low that it won't matter whether you equip it with a vertical grip or an angled grip, the weapon kick will feel the same. That's why with this gun, the user can freely equip the angled grip for faster aim-down-sight speed instead of the recoil control providing vertical grip. As for the other qualities that make the ACS12 such an exceptional weapon, there are many.
As a single-slug firing shotgun, its damage and penetration rate is very high. That means it can destroy unreinforced hatches, create rotation holes, and open lines of sight on soft walls. On top of that, Alibi can attach it with a scope 2.0x while Azami can attach it with a scope 1.5x. And as discussed above, those scopes provide a really good amount of zoom for defenders, especially since they can camp around the mission building and use these scopes to hit enemies at medium to long-range with great accuracy. On top of all these, the ACS12 also has a huge magazine capacity for a shotgun.
What Makes the ACS12 Great:
- Its stock recoil is so low that the user can equip it with an angled grip instead of the vertical grip and that will allow them to go into aim-down-sights stance faster
- Its damage and penetration rate is very high so it's not only great at fragging, it's also great for reworking the map to the defending team's advantage
- It has a huge magazine capacity for a shotgun and that greatly lessens the chances of it needing to be reloaded in the middle of a gunfight
- The scopes 1.5x and 2.0x are available to it depending on the operator and those scopes will provide the user with great accuracy even for medium to long-range shooting
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 69
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 300
- Magazine Size - 30
5. UMP45
https://youtu.be/_6BRyyboIx4?t=194
The UMP45 submachine gun is one of the most underrated guns in Siege, and that's ultimately because of its very low recoil. Because its stock recoil is very low, the user is free to customize it with attachments that provide other benefits than additional recoil control, and its customizability, brought to it by its low recoil is what makes this gun really special. With this gun, the user can attach either the extended barrel for added damage, or the suppressor so that they can take advantage of its great stealth benefits.
As for its grip, the user can freely opt for the angled grip for faster aim-down-sights speed without worrying too much about whether they'll be able to control its recoil well or not, because the answer is simply yes. Apart from its inherently low recoil that allows the user to customize it further, the UMP45 can also inflict a good amount of damage per shot and has a very decent magazine capacity. It has a slow rate of fire but its high damage, low recoil, and wide variety of attachments more than make up for it. The scope 1.5x is also available to it, and it provides a good amount of zoom for the user to target their enemies effectively.
What Makes the UMP45 Great:
- Due to its really low recoil, the user can freely equip it with attachments that provide other benefits than additional recoil control, and that makes this weapon very customizable
- The UMP45 is compatible to the scope 1.5x which will provide the user with a good amount of zoom without putting the user at a disadvantage in terms of peripheral view
- It can inflict high damage per shot and that allows the user to make quick work of their enemies especially at close to medium range
- Its very low recoil combined with its scope 1.5x will provide the user with great accuracy, and that's really important for fragging enemies especially at medium to long-range
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 38
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 600
- Magazine Size - 25
4. PDW9
https://youtu.be/5zQURrM0Ino?t=22
Unique to Osa and Jackal, the PDW9 is one of the most underrated guns in Siege because most players favor their more damaging alternatives. However, the PDW9 is actually a very powerful weapon because it doesn't only have a very manageable recoil, its huge magazine capacity is a great asset especially for attackers like Jackal and Osa. That's because with a huge magazine size, the user will be able to fire a lot of bullets before having to reload, and that's great when dealing with multiple enemies coming at the user at a time.
Although the PDW9 has less damage than the other primary weapon choices for Osa and Jackal, its damage is actually very decent. Combine that with its good rate of fire, it can make quick work of the user's enemies, especially at close to medium range. Another great thing about the PDW9 is that it can be attached with a scope 1.5x, and as mentioned before, this scope is so perfect for close to medium-range shooting which is where Osa and Jackal mostly operates in, because it will give the user a good amount of zoom while also not taking up a lot of peripheral view.
What Makes the PDW9 Great:
- It has a huge magazine capacity which will allow the user to fire a lot of rounds before having to reload, and that's great for dealing with multiple enemies
- Its stock recoil is manageable enough that the user can opt for the suppressor or the extended barrel instead of other barrel attachments that provide recoil control
- It has a very decent damage and rate of fire and that makes it excellent for killing enemies at close to medium range
- It's compatible with the scope 1.5x and that is perfect for the range where Osa and Jackal usually engages enemies which is short to medium distances
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 34
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 800
- Magazine Size - 50
3. PARA-308
https://youtu.be/51ZpSE5JumA?t=450
Capitao and Brava's unique weapon is one of the best assault rifles in Siege because it inflicts a massive amount of damage per shot and its rate of fire is very decent. What's more is that its stock recoil is very low, so the user can afford to equip it with attachments that don't provide recoil control benefits. It can also be equipped with scopes that provide high levels of zoom. Partner that with the weapon's low stock recoil, and the user has a weapon that provides a lot of accuracy and firepower.
Its stock recoil is very manageable because its recoil diamonds are very small in size. That means that it's not prone to random recoil from all directions. On top of that, its recoil pattern mostly only goes on a vertical path, so when firing this weapon, the user mostly only has to worry about holding down its vertical weapon kick. And as usual for low recoil guns, the user can afford to attach non-recoil control providing attachments to its barrel and the game won't punish them by making the weapon's recoil hard to control.
What Makes the PARA-308 Great:
- It inflicts a very high damage per shot considering that it's fully automatic and has a very decent rate of fire. This will allow the user to make quick work of enemies.
- It can be attached with scopes that provide high levels of zoom like the scopes 1.5x and 2.0x, and those scopes are perfect for Capitao and Brava's range
- Its recoil is very manageable due to its small recoil diamond size which means that it's not prone to random recoil from all directions or horizontal recoil
- Its magazine capacity is very decent and it can be equipped with an extended barrel or a suppressor instead of a recoil control providing barrel attachment
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 47
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 650
- Magazine Size - 30
2. V308
https://youtu.be/bckSP522nEQ?t=16
The V308 is Lion's unique assault rifle and is definitely one of the most powerful weapons in Siege. I even describe it as a nearly perfect weapon because it has everything that a player would want from a gun. It has heavy firepower, fast rate of fire, huge magazine capacity, and it has a wide variety of attachments available to it. That last bit right there is very important because the user is really only able to take advantage of the wide variety of attachments available to it because its recoil is very low.
That means that the user, when it comes to this weapon, doesn't need to rely on attachments that provide recoil control benefits. Instead, they could take advantage of attachments like the extended barrel which will provide more damage, the suppressor which will provide stealth benefits, and the angled grip which will allow the user to go into aim-down-sights stance faster than normal. On top of all the great qualities mentioned, the V308 is also compatible with scopes that provide high levels of zoom like the scopes 2.0x and 2.5x.
What Makes the V308 Great:
- It has heavy firepower and a very decent rate of fire, and that will allow the user to finish enemies quickly even with body shots
- Its very manageable stock recoil allows the user to customize it with attachments that provides other benefits than additional recoil control
- Scopes that provide high levels of zoom like the scopes 2.0x and 2.5x are available to it and those scopes, especially the latter one will allow the user to see their enemies really well
- Its sizable magazine capacity will allow the user to fire a lot of bullets at enemies while greatly lessening the chances of having to reload in the middle of combat
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 44
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 700
- Magazine Size - 50
1. T-95 LSW
https://youtu.be/dfhjF8W3JRI?t=14
If the V308 assault rifle above is a near perfect weapon, consider the T-95 LSW an even better one. That's because Ying's unique light machine gun is one of the very few light machine guns in the game that can be reloaded quickly, and that's due to its detachable magazine. What's more is that despite the recent recoil progression overhaul that has really affected light machine guns negatively, the T-95 LSW has been largely unaffected because its recoil remains very manageable. And because of that, its user can equip it with attachments that provide other benefits.
The T-95 LSW even has slightly better damage than the V308 and there's not much difference in their rate of fire, so the T-95 LSW is really like a more powerful V308. On top of that, the T-95 LSW has an even bigger magazine capacity, and that really is its strongest suit. The T-95 LSW is also compatible with scopes that provide high levels of zoom like the scopes 1.5x, 2.0x, and 2.5x. With the availability of those scopes, the user can really customize the weapon based on the distance and angles that they're expecting to operate in.
What Makes the T-95 LSW Great:
- Its recoil is very manageable and has remained largely unaffected by the recent recoil progression overhaul that nerfed a lot of light machine guns in the game
- Despite being a light machine gun, the T-95 LSW can be reloaded quite fast and that is because of its detachable magazine
- It has a huge magazine capacity for a gun that can be reloaded so fast, and that is perfect for dealing with multiple enemies
- It's compatible with the scopes 1.5x, 2.0x, and 2.5x, which really allows the user to customize it according to the map that they're going to play in
- It inflicts a huge damage per shot and has a very decent rate of fire so it's capable to downing opponents with just a quick burst
Weapon Stats:
- Damage - 46
- Mobility - 50
- Rate of Fire - 650
- Magazine Size - 80
