[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Frost Loadouts That Are Excellent
Frost is easily one of the most balanced and versatile operators in the game. As a result, she hasn’t really received that many changes over the years of Siege. The biggest perhaps is the change in how her Welcome Mats work once they trap an opponent. That doesn’t mean, however, that she wasn’t largely affected by the recent huge changes from Year 9 Season 1.
The rework on how a lot of attachments work really affected all operators and Frost of course is no exception. So in this article, we’re going to discuss how the current attributes of the attachments should affect the players’ choices when choosing what loadout setups are best for them when playing this highly versatile trapper operator in R6 Siege’s Year 9 Season 1.
5. 9mm C1 with Magnified A scope, Flash Hider, and Horizontal Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Bulletproof Camera
This loadout setup is for Frost players who like playing her very aggressively. She now has access to the magnified B scope which provides 2.5x zoom level, but for a loadout setup like this for aggressive plays, the magnified A scope will be a lot more versatile. That’s because the magnified A scope provides 1.5x zoom, and that’s a well-balanced zoom level for close to medium range, which is where you’ll mostly be engaging enemies when you’re playing aggressively.
The horizontal grip on the other hand will provide Frost with a 5% speed boost and even though that’s not a lot, it’s a great perk to have for aggressive plays where the player will be moving around a lot. Not only will it help them get from one place to another faster, it will also make it a bit harder for enemies to hit them when they’re moving. The flash hider on the 9mm C1 will ensure that even if the player moves around a lot, when they shoot the weapon, they’ll have great recoil control with it as the flash hider specializes in lowering the vertical recoil of weapons.
Excels in:
- The horizontal grip on Frost’s 9mm C1 will allow her to move a 5% faster than normal which is a great perk to have for aggressive plays and it will also make it a bit harder for enemies to hit her
- Having a great amount of recoil control on the 9mm C1 even when the player is moving a lot because of the flash hider on its barrel which specializes in lowering the vertical recoil of weapons
- The magnified A scope providing 1.5x zoom to Frost will be great in aggressive plays with her as it’ll provide a very balanced amount of zoom for close to medium range shooting
- The ITA12S shotgun as Frost’s secondary weapon will allow her to create rotation holes on unreinforced walls and destroy unreinforced hatches which plays a huge role when it comes to aggressive plays
- The bulletproof camera as Frost’s generic gadget provides her and her teammates another utility for gathering intel on an area as it can provide a wide view of the surroundings
Build Details:
- Primary weapon - 9mm C1 with Magnified A scope, Flash Hider, and Horizontal Grip
- Secondary weapon - ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser
- Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera

4. Super 90 with Iron Sight + MK1 9mm with Suppressor and Laser + Bulletproof Camera
For shotgun enthusiasts, this will be the loadout setup of choice when playing Frost. Yes, she can already equip the ITA12S shotgun as her secondary weapon, but the problem with that shotgun is that it has a very small magazine capacity. Just a few shots of it and you’ll have to reload, unlike a regular shotgun like the Super 90. The ITA12S is really more like a utility than a weapon for fragging opponents, although it can be used for that in the right circumstances.
The Super 90 shotgun has heavy stopping power, especially of course at close range. That’s why it’s best to use this setup for anchoring where there’s a better chance of engaging enemies at close quarters combat. For its sight, it’s best to go for the iron sight because it provides the player with a 10% aim-down-sight speed boost. With this, you won’t need to have the laser attachment which provides the same benefit that comes along with the drawback of giving away your position to enemies when you’re holding an angle.
Excels in:
- Having the superiority at close quarters combat due to the Super 90 shotgun being Frost’s primary weapon since it has heavy stopping power per pellet and it shoots multiple per shot
- Being able to go into aim-down-sight stance faster than normal with Frost’s Super 90 shotgun due to the 10% ADS speed boost from the iron sight 1.0x attachment
- Frost having a good utility in the suppressed MK1 9mm for shooting enemy gadgets like drones and claymores with much less chance of giving away her position
- Having an extra utility for Frost and the rest of her team for gathering intel on enemy positions with the bulletproof camera as her secondary gadget which can also shoot EMP bursts
Build Details:
- Primary weapon - Super 90 with Iron Sight
- Secondary weapon - MK1 9mm with Suppressor and Laser
- Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera
3. 9mm C1 with Magnified B, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Bulletproof Camera
This loadout setup is designed for medium to long-range shooting. Now that Frost has access to the magnified B scope which provides 2.5x zoom level, she’ll be able to hit targets at long-range with great accuracy, but that’s not the only contributing factor. The 9mm C1 already has a very manageable stock recoil and using a vertical grip as one of its attachments will further make its recoil weaker. So with this loadout set, Frost will be shooting enemies at medium to long-range with great accuracy and stability.
Another thing that’ll increase the effectiveness of this loadout setup for long-range shooting is the suppressor. At medium to long-range, it’ll be too hard for enemies to know where Frost is shooting from through audio cues since the suppressor will greatly silence the 9mm C1’s gunshots. It’ll also remove its muzzle flash and the directional threat indicator of its shots. So at long-range, it could take a while before opponents realize where Frost is shooting from, and that’ll prevent them from effectively counter firing immediately.
Excels in:
- Being able to shoot enemies at medium to long-range with great accuracy due to the 2.5x level provided by the magnified B scope and its arrow-tip reticle which is promotes pinpoint shooting
- Having great control and stability when shooting Frost’s 9mm C1 due to the vertical grip attachment which greatly reduces the vertical recoil of weapons
- Making it harder for enemies to know where you’re shooting from because of the suppressor silencing the 9mm C1’s gunshots as well as removing its muzzle brake and directional threat indicator
- Frost having a great utility for reworking the map with rotation holes and lines of sight with the ITA12S shotgun due to its high destruction rate per shot
- The bulletproof camera offers another way for the whole defending team to gather intel on enemy positions. It also has a thermal sight and it can shoot EMP bursts that can temporarily disable enemy electronics
Build Details:
- Primary weapon - 9mm C1 with Magnified B, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
- Secondary weapon - ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser
- Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera

2. 9mm C1 with Magnified B, Extended Barrel, and Angled Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Deployable Shield
There are a lot of Siege players who prefer to always have the best firepower on their loadouts as much as possible and this loadout setup is for them. That’s because the extended barrel on Frost’s 9mm C1 submachine gun will increase its base damage as well as reduce its range damage drop-off. So not only will the 9mm C1 in this setup be more powerful in dealing damage to enemies, it’ll also hurt a lot regardless of distance. That’s why it also has a great synergy with the magnified B scope which is great for medium to long-range shooting.
The angled grip on the other hand will provide the user with a 20% reload speed boost on the weapon, and that’s a great perk to have for aggressive plays and when the priority is dishing out as much damage as possible. Because the faster you reload your weapon, the faster you can get back into action and shoot enemies. The deployable shield, while at first glance a defensive weapon, is also great at offense because of the slits on its body that Frost or other defenders can use to spot enemies on the other side.
Excels in:
- Maximizing the firepower of Frost’s 9mm C1 submachine gun with the extended barrel increasing its base damage and greatly lowering its range damage drop-off making it more effective at any range
- The angled grip providing Frost with a 20% reload speed boost on her 9mm C1 submachine gun which is great for dealing with multiple enemies at the same time or in high traffic situations in general
- The magnified B scope on the 9mm C1 providing 2.5x zoom level to Frost will allow her to target her opponents with great accuracy regardless of range which is also a great synergy with the extended barrel
- The ITA12S providing Frost with a great utility for reworking the map with rotation holes and lines of sight on unreinforced walls as well as for destroying hatches which are important for outmaneuvering enemies
- The deployable shield as Frost’s secondary gadget has a great synergy with her Frost Mats and it provides the defending team with more cover. It’ll also make holding an angle easier.

- Primary weapon - 9mm C1 with Magnified B, Extended Barrel, and Angled Grip
- Secondary weapon - ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser
- Generic gadget - Deployable Shield
Recoil pattern test on the 9mm C1 in this setup with the author’s own recoil control applied:
1. 9mm C1 with Magnified B, Suppressor, and Horizontal Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Deployable Shield
Frost’s 9mm C1 submachine gun has a stock recoil that is very manageable that most experienced players don’t really need a recoil control providing attachment on it to be able to handle its weapon kick. That’s why it’s better for the Frost player to run it with attachments that provide other benefits than additional recoil control. And the best attachments for it would be found in this setup. The horizontal grip will allow Frost to move 5% faster than normal and that’s a huge plus, especially considering her role.
During the prep phase, Frost always has to hurry in deploying her three Welcome Mats, so even a 5% speed boost would be a huge help for her in doing that. Not to mention that it’ll also make her a bit harder to hit when she’s moving. The suppressor on the other hand will give her great stealth benefits because when shooting with her suppressed 9mm C1, there’s a big chance that enemies won’t immediately know where she’s shooting from. That’s because the suppressor removes the muzzle flash and directional threat indicator from weapons’ shots, and it also greatly muffles the sounds from their gunshots.
Excels in:
- The suppressor making it harder for enemies to know where Frost is shooting from because it hides the weapon’s muzzle flash and directional threat indicator as well as silences its gunshots
- The horizontal grip giving Frost a 5% movement speed boost is a huge help for her in deploying her Frost Mats, and it will make it harder for enemies to hit her accurately when she’s moving
- The magnified b scope with its 2.5x zoom level will increase Frost’s long-range capabilities and accuracy. It’ll also be great even for close range encounters when the user is used to using it in close quarters combat
- The ITA12S shotgun as Frost’s secondary weapon will allow her to create rotation holes and lines of sight on unreinforced walls due to its high destruction per shot. It’ll also allow her to destroy soft hatches.
- Having a utility that provides extra cover in the deployable shield which will make holding angles easier for defenders and it also has slits on its body that’ll allow them to see enemies on the other side

- Primary weapon - 9mm C1 with Magnified B, Suppressor, and Horizontal Grip
- Secondary weapon - ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser
- Generic gadget - Deployable Shield
