[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Buck Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Buck Loadouts in R6 Siege
The best loadouts that players should try when playing one of the best vertical attackers in Rainbow Six Siege

This Buck guide will be pretty unique because we’ll be totally ignoring Buck’s other choice for his secondary weapon, which is the MK1 9mm handgun. In my opinion, it just doesn’t make sense to run with a handgun as Buck’s secondary when you can have the gonne-6 hand cannon which can disable a pesky bulletproof defender gadget.

On top of that, when Buck’s CAMRS or C8-SFW needs to reload in the middle of a gunfight, he can simply switch to his under-barrel shotgun, which will be much quicker and more effective than switching to a pistol. So, buckle up and let’s get deep into the best loadout setups for Buck.

5. CAMRS with Scope 3.0x, Muzzle Brake, and Laser + Gonne-6 + Stun Grenade

The CAMRS is one of the best marksman rifles in the game, not because of its heavy damage per shot, because all marksman rifles have that, but because of its tight hip fire which makes it effective at close range. With the laser added to it, its hip fire will even be tighter, and Buck would be able to frag opponents at close range without having to spend a second in going into aim-down-sight stance. That’s a huge advantage because the faster you can hit your enemies, the faster you can take them down, and obviously, your survivability will increase.

But of course, at its core, the CAMRS is a marksman rifle, and it’s very effective at medium to long-range, and that’s why I recommend that you run it with the 3.0x sight. A lot of players, especially newer ones, might be intimidated with the high zoom levels, but the 3.0x sight is actually really great at close range encounters as well. That’s because its frame will not take a lot of screen space when you’re aiming-down-sight, so you’ll have a clear view of your target and the surroundings. And of course, when you’re really expecting a close-encounter, you can leave it to the CAMR’s hip fire or Buck’s under-barrel shotgun.

Excels in:

  • Heavy damage per shot from the CAMRS marksman rifle which can take down enemies very quickly at any range
  • Tight hip fire from the CAMRS especially with the laser attachment present makes it an effective weapon at close range
  • The scope 3.0x providing a very clear frontal view when the user is on aim-down-sight due to its frame not taking up a lot of screen space
  • Being able to destroy a pesky bulletproof gadget with the use of the gonne-6 hand cannon as your secondary weapon
  • Softening up the objective spot before a push by sending in three stun grenades before a push

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - CAMRS with Scope 3.0x, Muzzle Brake, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Stun Grenade

4. C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Flash Hider + Gonne-6 + Stun Grenade

For a lot of people, using the flash hider as the C8-SFW's barrel attachment is the best way of controlling its recoil, which is quite rough if we’re being honest. That’s because the flash hider specializes in lowering the weapon’s overall vertical weapon kick, so in theory, it works best when performing longer sprays with the C8-SFW. Another great thing about the flash hider is that it will hide the C8-SFW's muzzle flash, and that lessens the visual cues that your enemies could react to when pinpointing your location, which could be a great advantage when you’re performing a vertical play.

The gonne-6 hand cannon is a very valuable utility that can destroy one pesky bulletproof enemy gadget like Maestro’s Evil Eye or Melusi’s Banshee. It can also be used to destroy an unreinforced hatch, although in Buck’s case, you shouldn’t use it for that since you can just destroy an unreinforced hatch with your under-barrel shotgun. So, reserve the one shot from your gonne-6 hand cannon for bulletproof gadgets that are preventing you from effectively pushing. The stun grenades are great for blinding enemies or robbing them of their ability to hear sound cues coming from you or your teammates.

Excels in:

  • Having a great vertical recoil control on the C8-SFW due to the presence of the flash hider barrel attachment
  • Lessening the visual cues that enemies could react to with the flash hider removing the C8-SFW's muzzle flash
  • Being able to destroy a pesky bulletproof defender gadget through the use of the gonne-6 hand cannon
  • Robbing enemies of their sight and ability to hear through the use of the three stun grenades in your arsenal
  • Providing Buck with a good amount of zoom level through the scope 1.5x without sacrificing a lot of peripheral view

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Flash Hider
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Stun Grenade

3. C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Muzzle Brake + Gonne-6 + Hard Breach Charge

This loadout setup provides the best recoil control on the C8-SFW assault rifle and should be the go-to loadout for players who prefer to have the maximum recoil control on their weapons for more precision and stable shooting. That’s because the C8-SFW's first shot recoil is quite strong, and while the muzzle brake’s in-game description says that it lowers the recoil of single-shot firing weapons, it works well on fully-automatic weapons as well by reducing their first shot recoil. That goes a long way in stabilizing the overall recoil of the C8-SFW, especially for short burst firing, which the game prefers nowadays.

Short burst firing with this loadout setup will provide the user with great precision, which is perfect for shooting through metal beams on wooden floors when the Buck player is performing a vertical play. The 1.5x sight is also just perfect for the distance where buck usually operates which would be close to medium range since he specializes in vertical plays. The hard breach charges would provide Buck with the ability to destroy reinforced hatches, which he can use to go down to the objective spot after harassing the defenders from above.

Excels in:

  • Having the most stable recoil on the C8-SFW especially on short sprays due to the muzzle brake lowering the weapon’s first shot recoil
  • Maintaining a good amount of peripheral view while having a good level of zoom through the scope 1.5x
  • Neutralizing one pesky defender bulletproof gadget through the use of the gonne-6 hand cannon
  • Being able to destroy reinforced hatches or open up holes on reinforced walls with the use of the hard breach charges

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Muzzle Brake
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Hard Breach Charge

2. C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Extended Barrel + Gonne-6 + Hard Breach Charge

I originally was going to put this loadout setup at number three, but the recent announcement that the extended barrel attachment will be adding 15% damage on weapons starting next season certainly bumps it to at least the second place. Now, the recoil of the C8-SFW assault rifle may be quite intimidating, especially for newer players, but as long as you fire it in short bursts, you should be fine. And whenBuck is performing a vertical play, short sprays are all he needs to take out enemies, especially with the 15% damage bonus from the extended barrel which will come quite soon.

Right now, the extended barrel still doesn’t have the 15% damage bonus, however, it deserves a high ranking when it comes to barrel attachments for the C8-SFW because even now, it enhances the damage of the weapon. That’s because the extended barrel greatly reduces the range damage drop-off of weapons, therefore, maximizing its damage potential and output. In other words, with the extended barrel on Buck’s C8-SFW, Buck will be inflicting heavy damage to his opponents, regardless of the distance he’s shooting from.

Excels in:

  • Maximizing the damage potential and output of the C8-SFW assault rifle by reducing its range damage drop-off through the use of the extended barrel
  • Starting next season, the extended barrel will be adding 15% damage to the C8-SFW as well, allowing Buck to take enemies out quicker.
  • Providing Buck with a good amount of zoom level through the scope 1.5x that is just perfect for his role as a vertical attacker
  • Disabling one pesky bulletproof defender gadget through the use of the gonne-6 hand cannon
  • Being able to destroy reinforced hatches or open up holes on reinforced walls with the use of the hard breach charges

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Extended Barrel
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Hard Breach Charge

1. C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Suppressor + Gonne-6 + Stun Grenade

This is the best loadout setup for Buck despite it not adding more damage or more recoil control on the C8-SFW. That’s because the stealth benefits from the suppressor, especially for Buck’s role as a vertical attacker, simply outweigh damage or recoil benefits. When Buck performs a vertical play, obviously, he would be destroying the wooden floors on or above objective spots. Those wooden floors would not be completely open because there would be metal beams on them. That means when Buck spots an enemy on the objective spot, he would have to shoot them through those metal beams.

The same goes for the defenders who would be trying to return fire at Buck. Now, the problem for those defenders is that it could be hard for them to see Buck clearly through those metal beams, and the suppressor on Buck’s C8-SFW will make it even harder. That’s because the suppressor will hide the C8-SFW's directional threat indicator and its muzzle flash. That means unless they see Buck himself, they won’t have a visual cue from Buck shooting at them. The suppressor will also silence the C8-SFW's gunshot sound, making it hard for the defenders to pinpoint Buck’s location through sound cues.

Excels in:

  • Shooting enemies without them receiving a directional threat indicator of where your shots are coming from
  • Removing the C8-SFW's muzzle flash through the suppressor will make it even harder for enemies to determine where Buck is shooting them from
  • Silencing the C8-SFW's gunshot sound will make it harder for enemies to determine Buck’s location through sound cues
  • Being able to destroy a troublesome defender gadget with the use of the gonne-6 hand cannon
  • Blinding enemies and robbing them of their hearing with the use of the three stun grenades in Buck’s arsenal

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - C8-SFW with Scope 1.5x and Suppressor
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Stun Grenade
