[Top 7] Marvel Snap Best Beginner Decks For The Current Meta
Here you will find a bunch of interesting decks that you should be able to craft relatively soon after starting off with Marvel Snap. Most of the cards in today’s decks are pool 1 ( Collection level 18 - 214). If you’re a beginner, and you don’t have an idea of what deck to play - you’re in luck! Because you’re about to see 7 decks that are all unique and beginner-friendly.
7. Apocalypse
This Apocalypse deck does not focus on only one gimmick to be good. Instead, it offers a variety of cards that can give you a lot of power on the board quickly.
Lady Sif will always discard Apocalypse if he’s in your hand, Sword Master can give you 6 power on board quickly. Nova into Carnage can give you a lot of power on board, and you finish the game with your strong cards like Iron Man, Apocalypse, and if all else fails, America Chavez can still give you a strong turn 6.
6. Spectrum Ongoing
As the name implies, the goal of this deck is to play a lot of cards with ongoing effects, and then boost them on turn 6 with Spectrum to give them all +2 power, which really adds up at that point since basically all cards in this deck are ongoing.
This deck doesn’t have the strongest early game, but it runs a lot of strong cards like Mister Fantastic, The Punisher, Captain America, and Iron Man and Blue Marvel for the late plays. In any case, it’s a fun deck that requires you to carefully position your cards if you wish to get the full potential of your Ant-Man, Lizard, The Punisher, Captain America and Namor.
5. Apocalypse Discard
This is another deck that runs Apocalypse at its core, except this one focuses on buffing Apocalypse up way more. This deck can basically be split into two halves - cards that discard, and cards that you wish to be discarded.
This particular deck runs Swarm, which is a great card for discard decks, but it is pool 2, if you don’t have it unlocked, you will have to run something different. Blade, Lady Sif and Sword Master are your cards that you wish to discard everything else with. You can buff up Apocalypse quite a bit with those cards, and you will still have a good board with Angela, Swarm and your one drops.
4. Devil Dino
Devil Dinosaur is a simple card that gets +2 for each card in your hand. With the hand size being 7, Dino can grow up to 17 power. Most Devil Dino decks run Moon Girl because of their synergy and the ability to get the most out of your Dino.
This deck has a lot of cheap cards that you want to use to power up Bioshop or Angela. This deck also has the Nova into Carnage combo that can bring a lot of power on board. If you’ve played both Moon Girl and Devil Dino, you should be having a lot of cards in hand for turn 6, including another Dino which, at that point, should be winning you the game.
3. Heimdall Move
This move deck has Heimdall as its main card that wins you the game. This deck has a lot of synergy because the cards you play can either move your other cards, or they like to be moved themselves.
You’re very likely to move Multiple Man with Doctor Strange when you play him, if Hulk Buster is equipped on Multiple Man, you’ve basically won the game. Kraven is there to synergise with a lot of movement, and Wolfsbane benefits from the other cheap cards you’re running. Heimdall is the card you play on turn 6 to often change the tide of the match completely, by moving all the cards around and activating their effects. This deck can be greatly improved with pool 2 cards.
2. Odin On Reveal
Odin’s effect to activate the other On Reveal effects at a single location can be very lethal for your opponent. The goal of this deck is to carefully place your cards, so that on turn 6 Odin activates the effects of the cards that can win you the game.
I think this deck is pretty self explanatory. You play cards with good On Reveal effects like Iron Heart, Wolfsbane, Medusa, and of course, White Tiger with the goal of doubling their effects on turn 6. Jessica Jones can single handedly win you a location, especially if she has a Tiger Spirit there with her.
1. KaZoo
KaZoo is quite probably the best pool 1 deck that you can use for climbing. I played with it for most of my games where I’ve had only pool 1 cards. It has a simple strategy - play your one drops, get the most value out of them and at the end play Kazar, Blue Marvel and Onslaught.
Kazar gives your one cost cards +1. Blue Marvel gives all your other cards +1. And Onslaught doubles the Ongoing effects at a single location. Which means that if you have Kazar, Blue Marvel and Onslaught at a single location all of your other cards will have +4. Just be mindful of your positioning of one cost cards, and try to adapt as best as possible when you don’t draw all the cards that you need.
