The story of the 13th installment of this successful game series takes place five hundred years afterthe ending of the previous game. Lightning, the main protagonist of the first game awakens from hibernation 13 days before the world is to end, and god Bhunivelze choses her to save the people of the doomed world, including her former friends and allies. As she travels, she learns the full truth behind both the world's fate and Bhunivelze's real intention. Lightning Returns includes the gameplay system characteristics of the previous two games, and an action-oriented battle system, as well as customizable character's outfits and interesting missions and side quests.
