GTA Online Best F1 Cars (Ranked)

Formula One, or F1 cars, are open-wheeled cars, which means that their wheels sit outside the body of the car. These cars only contain a single seat that is for the racer, and no passenger can take part in those races. These cars are extremely fast due to their aerodynamic build and the Drag Reduction System that provides the car with a boost. In this article, we will be ranking the best F1 cars available in the game according to their speed, control, and many other aspects. 

4. Ocelot R88 (good) - $3,115,000

The first entry on this ranking list is the Ocelot R88. Based on the Lotus 97T, this open-wheeled car is sleek in design, and efficient in performance, but not enough to overpower other vehicles on this list. Similar to the PR4, the R88 has reasonable handling and strong braking. 

When navigating tight turns at high speeds, the car will understeer a little bit; however, this may be prevented by hitting the brakes. Driving this car, however, has the disadvantage of not allowing the driver to use any weaponry at all, which raises the player's risk of being attacked and makes them helpless to protect themselves. Even so, it appears to have a lower maximum speed and acceleration than the PR4, yet it is still very close.

3. Progen PR4 (good) - $3,515,000

With its V10 engine and single wing/spoiler, the PR4 is a Formula One vehicle that is modeled after the 1989 McLaren MP4/5; however, its narrower rear endplate, sharper nose, and flatter air intake point more in the direction of the 1991 McLaren MP4/6. 

Surprisingly well-rounded, the PR4 boasts good braking and reasonable handling. When making tight curves at high speeds, the car will experience mild understeer, however, this can be lessened by applying the brakes gently. The drawback of driving this vehicle is that the player runs the chance of being attacked and being unable to defend themselves. This is because the driver will be completely incapable of using their weaponry.

In contrast to other cars, the PR4's body kit will fall off and reveal the engine and basic frame as a result of damage absorption, rather than deforming the vehicle. Because of the missing parts, the automobile may understeer more as a result, particularly if the spoiler is absent. Overall, this car is fairly similar to the R88 but ranks above it due to better acceleration.

2. Declasse DR1 (great) - $2,997,000

A single-seat race vehicle, the DR1 is reportedly based on the Dallara DW12 IndyCar. Surprisingly well-rounded, the DR1 has decent handling and good braking, but it accelerates less quickly than the PR4. When making tight curves at high speeds, the car will experience mild understeer, however, this can be lessened by applying the brakes gently. The drawback of driving this vehicle is that the player runs the risk of being attacked and being unable to defend themselves. This is because the driver will be completely incapable of using their weaponry.

What puts this car in the 2nd spot on this list is the top speed it can achieve, which I believe is the highest out of all the open-wheeled cars in the game. It has a relatively lower price than its competition, making it a great contender on this list.

1. Benefactor BR8  (superb) - $3,400,000

The number one car on this list, the BR8, incorporates elements from various Red Bull Racing Team F1 cars. The BR8 has decent handling and strong braking, much like the other open-wheel cars. When making tight curves at high speeds, the car may be slightly prone to understeer, but this can be lessened by applying the brakes. The drawback of driving this car is that the player cannot utilize drive-by weaponry and is vulnerable to gunfire until they get out of the cockpit. The BR8's long wheelbase makes it maybe the best open-wheeler for racing, as it outperforms all other cars in its class in terms of traction.
