Nine month's after the events of F.E.A.R., Point Man is rescued by Faxton Pettel from a heavily guarded Armacham prison. After heavy fighting with Armacham forces on their way back to Fairport, Point Man reunites with F.E.A.R. operative Jin Sun-Kwon. She reveals to him that Alma Wade is about to give birth to a third child and insists that they must stop it from happening. Point Man agrees and forms an uneasy alliance with Paxton Fettel to find Alma, but with both of them having different intentions in mind. Point Man plans to stop Alma from giving birth to her third child while Paxton wants to consume the child to gain powerful psionic powers. 

On their way, a terrifying creature known as the Creep is hunting them and wants them both dead. In F.E.A.R. 3, players will take control of Point Man and Paxton Fettel as they fight their way through hostile enemies using firepower and psionic abilities. The game introduces new features like co-op, an evolved cover system, new weapons, and a story with 2 possible endings.
