With Elden Ring being a massive open-world game that gives you the option to play with a various array of weapons and make your own builds, it has some of the best-looking great spears that can deal a hefty amount of damage. This list is for all the spear lovers out there, and all the players who want to play as a Spartan warrior either a great spear or a normal spear, all will be able to beat this game. This list only consists of 6 great spears, as there are only six in-game, with the others being normal spears, so no matter what you prefer, there will be a spear for you.

10. Cross-Naginata

Don't worry you can't get mikiri'd in this game.

A weapon that has low stat requirements of 16 strength and 20 dex, blood loss buildup, and great range, why wouldn’t you want to use this weapon? It has a unique moveset with its thrusts and slash attacks compared to other spears.

9. Bolt Of Gransax.

Are you Zeus?

With the weapon being a dex weapon you can mainly focus on leveling up dex and strength with the added benefit of lighting damage without the worry of leveling up faith, as it does not scale with faith. With 40 dex and 20 strength needed, this weapon is for those players who are dex focused.

• Does 20%+ damage to dragons.
• Does 10%+ damage to Ancient dragons.

How to get the weapon:

• From Leyndell, Royal Capital, defeat Godfrey.
• From the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace go to the West door and down the elevator, there is a spear-looking monument.
• Jump down onto the monument, and at the top, you will find the Bolt of Gransax.
•  You must get this weapon before the capital of ash or else it is lost until new game.

8. Vyke’s War Spear 

If only Vyke used a pike.

The weapon of Vyke, a weapon that does massive damage and causes madness buildup will not only be good for PVE but also PVP. With stat requirements of 18 faith, 16 strength, and 20 dex, mid-game players will also be able to use this weapon.

The Death Ritual Spear is a great spear for those who are dex/int builds with the requirements of 14 strength 18 intelligence and 20 dex, you will be stabbing your enemies at close range while keeping them at a good distance.

6. Cleanrot Spear

With a very low drop rate and hard enemies wielding it, you’re going to have a hard time getting this spear. With 100 discovery the base drop rate is at 1%, but if you have the time and the patience you will be wielding one of the best-looking spears in the game, as it requires 16 dex and strength with 14 faith, you will be getting a great weapon quite early on if you’re lucky.

5. Tree Spear

The Tree spear will be buffing you till the end of its days.

The Tree Spear, a beautiful spear that primarily scales with strength,(15 needed) dex, (22) and faith (18). This weapon will be charging down enemies with its special charging RT and its weapon art that buffs the player.

The Lance, a weapon for all of those who wish to be a jousting knight, this is the weapon for you. With the requirements of 14 dex and 20 strength, you can use this weapon early on. Just be sure that you’ve got the proper set of armor on, brave knight.

• Great piercing attacks.
• Can be infused with ashes of war.
• Can be buffed with magic and consumables.

How to get the Lance: 

• Head west of the Deathbed Catacombs.
• Head up the cliffs.
• Jump down to the top of a structure.

3. Siluria’s Tree

Enemies won't know what hit them, as they'll be dead before they even see you, with this weapon's great weapon art.

The Crucible Knights weapon of choice, a weapon that does amazing damage, has an amazing weapon art and only requires 27 strength, 13 dex, and 20 faith, the best of faith players can wield this beast of a weapon.

Why Siluria’s Tree is great:

• Amazing weapon art.
• Good moveset.
• Does a lot of holy damage.
• Charged R2 can knock back enemies and even some bosses.

How to get Siluria’s Tree:

• Go to Deeproot Depths.
• Defeat the Crucible Knight.
• The weapon drops after he is defeated.

2. Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear

Mohg is still one of the best bosses in the game.

A weapon everyone should use at least once, with high damage, a great moveset and it being Mohg’s weapon, you will become the lord of blood. As it scales with arcane (27), strength (24), and dex (14) this is one of the best blood weapons in the game.

• It causes blood to build up which does % based damage.

How to get Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear:

• Go to Mohgwyn Palace, either through Varres quest or from the teleporter in Consecrated Snowfields.
• Reach Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum.
• Defeat Mohg and give his remembrance to Enia at the roundtable hold for his weapon.

1. Serpent Hunter

Summon the Mimic to fight this boss Togethaa!

The Serpent Hunter is a weapon that is needed to defeat the legendary Rykard. As it requires no attributes to use, you can use it with any build. That does not mean it can’t scale, as it scales with strength and dex. With high damage and amazing weapon art, you will be able to use this weapon till the end of the game.

• Requires no attributes.
• Does great damage.
• Great moveset.

How to get the Serpent Hunter:

• Go to Volcano Manor.
• Do Tanith’s quest or make your way past the manor.
• Defeat the Godskin Noble.
• Use the teleporter. (not needed if you’ve finished Tanith's quest)
• Before Rykard's boss fight the weapon will be inside the boss arena.
