Taking place during the events of the original Crysis in 2020, former British SAS Sergeant Michael "Psycho" Sykes gets separated from Raptor Team and is on a different side of Lingshan island. Players will take control of Psycho as he fights his way through North Korean forces to prevent a nuclear warhead from being used. Little does he know though, that the nuclear warhead will be the least of his worries.

A standalone expansion pack to Crysis, Crysis Warhead takes players back to Lingshan, where another nanosuit-equipped soldier is fighting his own perilous battle amidst the jungles and is soon to experience the shock himself of what truly lies within the jungles of Lingshan. The game features new fully customizable weapons, vehicles, enemies and an optimized CryEngine 2 that will deliver an enhanced gaming experience.
