The Arkham series is full of great games, but this one is on the top of the list as far as continuous playability and story.

Batman Arkham City or rather the series that was created by Rocksteady games proved to the gaming society that superhero video game adaptations need not be a fan-treat kinda game but become a standard in the Action-Rpg genre. The story starts off with Bruce contesting the existence of Black Gate prison in the heart of Gotham, it gets complicated when thugs starts to attack the said press conference and you have to fight your way out of blackgate and finally become the Batman. Very well written story, Superb voice acting and sidemissions to keep everything fresh if you wish to keep away from the story

If The Joker's face hasn't hunted you yet, this new creepily improved design will do the work! Although the game has smooth controls and easy movements, along with great darkish art and characters' bios, you can see the plot twists coming and if you're not a big DC Comics fan or played the rest the game series, i am not sure you will get much of the outline stories, nor find any depth in the characters. Don’t worry though, the main plot is easy to understand and if you're not that much into paying attention to the story in a game, you will enjoy enough people-beating and unreal jumping scenes.

Arkham City is a masterpiece. This game definitely does justice to the Batman franchise. The graphics perfectly capture a shadowy mood befitting of the Dark Knight. The gameplay is phenomenal and allows players to use equipment to spy, glide, and fight just like the Bat himself would. This game promises hours of playtime and a complex, seamless plot with an ending that you won't forget. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to experience an amazing game.

Arkham City was a marked improvement over the prior game in the series, Arkham Asylum. Where Arkham Asylum proved to be repetitive, if not trite and a bit too cinematic, Arkham City rises to the challenge by providing improved controls and a systematic way for players to assess situations and provide unique solutions to specific problems as Batman would. Batman of the game mirrors his comicbook counterpart in being read to deploy smoke and freeze grenades, and gadgets galore in his war on crime.

Arkham City set a benchmark for how good games are to be made. With brilliant visuals, an amazing storyline and nearly flawless gameplay the game illustrates the many challenges the Caped Crusader will have to face in an effort to keep the violent inmates and supervillains of Arkham City under control. The combat system has been the highlight of the game along with gliding around the city as the Bat himself and jumping right into a fight. If you ever wanted to be Batman, get a copy of this game.

Legendary as the Batman himself, and giving the character justice in the way he serves it upon the villains in Arkham City, makes it more than just a game. It is a legacy. Not many a game has ever deserved 'game of the year' status as much as this one. It is packed with all that a comic book, fiction, movie and game world fan could ever want. Graphics and visuals of the characters and surroundings and the famed 'free flow' fighting system will make you feel like Batman himself.

Saying that this game is good, exceptional, a total "wow", fantastic, these would be all understatements. Arkham City continues the on-going desire to make Batman a more in-depth, psychological character from which we can learn more than just being a superhero. The storyline surprises the player with a good number of twists and turns, let alone the fantastic and very profound ending. This is a\ game that enourages players to keep it simple, smart and be tactical. In short: be Batman.

The massiveness of this game is only supplemented by its great gameplay. The improvements from its predecessor justifies its GOTY status. Rocksteady did a good job improving the flow of the fights and its story.
