‘Atari 50 Anniversary Celebration’ is an interactive journey through 50 years of video game history.

In the ‘Atari 50 Anniversary Celebration,’ you play through an interactive experience that includes over 100 different games, interviews, documentary footage, easter eggs, and historical video game trivia.

The included games span seven Atari platforms that have seen the light of day over the past 50 years. These include the following:

• Atari Arcade
• Atari 2600
• Atari 5200
• Atari 7800
• Atari 8-bit computers
• Atari Lynx
• Atari Jaguar

The Atari story and history are woven into every game. The games will tell you everything you could want to know about how the games were created, the hardware for the different platforms, and what the journey at Atari was like for the people who were there!

Atari 50 Anniversary Celebration’ includes 6 new games.

‘Swordquest: Airworld,’ is a new installation in the ‘Swordquest’ series. ‘Haunted Houses’ is a 3D sequel to the original survival horror Atari game with “more houses, more spooky situations, and more urns.”

‘Neo Breakout’ is a 2-player contest that is a marriage of ‘Breakout,’ and ‘Pong.’ ‘Quadratank,’ is a new entry in the ‘Tank’ Atari series. The last entry in the series was back in 1978!

There is also “Yars’ Revenge Reimagined,” which is a remaster of the original game of the same name. Finally, there is also ‘VCTR-SCTR,’ which combines features from a collection of vector-based Atari games into a single experience.

‘Atari 50 Anniversary Celebration’ is developed by ‘Digital Eclipse,’ and is scheduled for a Steam release in the winter of 2022.
