Amnesia: The Dark Descent (2010)
In 1839, Daniel is a young man from London, trapped in Brennenburg Castle, with no memories of who he is, or how he got there. With instructions to descend into the Inner Sanctum and kill the Baron, Daniel picks up a lantern and goes exploring. With no means (or abilities) to fight, Daniel must escape from the horrific abominations that stalk the halls of Brennenburg, and the strange growth that follows his progress.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent is the horror game that changed the face of the genre. With realistic graphics and masterful horror mechanics, Amnesia traps players in a castle with no means to defend themselves other than to escape and to hide. The question is, how long will they stay sane?

Completely immersive from the moment you pick it up, Amnesia recommends multiple ways for maximum scare. Amnesia immerses you in the game by making you feel you are the character with its stunning visuals, sound, and mechanics. Truly beautiful, and massively scary, I highly recommend Amnesia for anyone looking for a good horror game.

Completely immersive! Following the guidelines of using a good set of headphones and turning off the lights in your room, this game will seriously give you a scare. The way to lights simply go dim, the sudden breeze and odd sounds, it seriously gets to you.

Best survival-horror game, I ever played, even if it's little old, his atmosphere is filled by fear and obscurity. From my point of wiew, to enjoy fully this great game, you must play at night with headphones, then a persistent flush of fear will take you down. Jumpscares, puzzles, and storyline, they all are awesome. The most interesting is that game developers allows to create mods on this game called custom stories and full conversion. By the way, I am working at one right now.
