I want to know what peoples views are on the new expansion for World of Warcraft - Legion. I have many years experience playing the MMORPG, with so much fun! But have not played since Pandaria, is this something worth coming back for?

I have played The Burning Crusade, Wrath of The Lich King, Cataclysm and now Legion.

I loved the burning crusade expansion. I remember the days spent in Hellfire Peninsular, questing, world pvp, getting chased by a Fel Reaver, and dungeoning.

The heroic dungeons were challenging, and the social element was there. (you had to manually look for other players to dungeon and quest with you.

Blizzard killed 70% of the social element, a critical part of the game, by introducing LFR/LFG queue. Nowadays, ppl just do their own shit and don't really talk to each other. Which sucks.

WoW legion is an improvement from the last expansion, but its glory days are over and probably ended with Burning Crusade.

There is a whole lot of new content in Legion. But the concept is old. Questing, Dungeons, grinding for higher iLvL, Raiding similar types of mobs.

Blizzard needs a real strategy on improving the social elements in the game. Getting players to constantly interact with one another.

So far i am not impressed with Legion. The long questlines and the throught of grinding for reputation to access better gear  makes me weary.

But i can't say the same for you. As different brains respond differently to different stimuli. Some will love Legion, some will not.

 

Yeah, I know what you mean, WoW isn't the same game it once was.

Alot of the social aspects you are talking about have ruined the game - in my opinion. It was still a very good game don't get me wrong, but I can whole heartidly say I miss how it once was.

I have a few friends who are playing Legion at the moment, all with positive things to say about it, but I can't see Blizzard returning any of the old features back into the game any time soon - or at all.
